Anti-synergy = Quickest Path to Failure

Synergy, 2+2 = 5.  Wrong?  No, it’s actually correct!  Have you ever heard working together you can sometimes create an outcome that is greater than the sum of the parts individually? This is what we call synergy. Now, consider the following equation, 2+2 = 1.  This is anti-synergy, the sum of the parts individually are greater than the whole.

Your success in life is going to ebb and flow. There are people you encounter who can increase your chances for success and those who will keep you from it. While synergy can be a reality, understand that anti-synergy is real, and exists as well. Your association with the wrong people can limit your ability to succeed. Creating synergy means that you must have qualitative metrics or measures to ensure you are going in the right direction. With accurate metrics you can find people to work with who share your same level of passion, which will ultimately get you closer to achieving your goals and dreams.

Synergy is determined by the relationship a person brings to the group.  Does the individual provide a positive contribution toward the goal or vision?  If so, they provide synergy.  If a person is taking away from the completion of the vision, it is anti-synergy.

Develop relationships with those who provide synergy and discontinue the rest.
